Friends,
This week something is going to happen. It will be unexpected, it will probably be something you have not experienced yet, and something that will affect your life or the lives of those close to you. Yet despite that you have comfort and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Jesus says it is finished. God always knew what would take place and knows what will yet take place. What is happening to us is that we are coming into these events as limited humans, seemingly unable to tell the future nor prepare ourselves for the unknown....but that's not entirely true.
Jesus said in John 16:7 " Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."
That is our way through. That is the means by which we receive peace like a river, a peace that passes understanding; a way to know that God is in control and that we CAN endure what we didn't see coming....it is already FINISHED. God knows how it will end, how it will go. WHAT WE DON'T KNOW - GOD DOES! So, it becomes our responsibility to know GOD and stay close to him. We don't need to know how things will end up...only that GOD KNOWS. Once we accept this, we have peace because we will operate in the way God intends (through faith) and God's will can bring things to the EXPECTED END. We KNOW that all things work together for good to those who LOVE GOD, to those who are tthe called accoring to HIS PURPOSE. Don't worry friends, it may be new to you but YOU are not finished, only IT is!
In Love,
Elder Mark and Sister Dana
